My love for photography began the moment I realized how powerful it is to freeze time.. to hold onto feelings you never want to fade. What started as a college passion turned into a lifelong way of seeing the world: honest, a little cinematic, and full of heart. I fell in love with photography during my Fine Arts studies at Wright State University, where long nights in the darkroom felt like home. After graduating with my BFA in Photography and moving to Florida with my boyfriend, I started building Kelsey’s Collective, a space for capturing real life as it unfolds and for the pictures worth framing.
I love documenting the quiet in-betweens, the laughter, and the tears that slip out before you even realize it. Those are the moments that matter most to me, and they’re the ones I live to capture. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me at Disney or Universal (yes, I have passes to both), traveling back to Ohio to visit family, or planning my next little adventure. I’m big on connection, storytelling, and making life, and art, feel genuine.

This still was caught while they were playing around in the cold water at the beach. I love when I capture these pockets of pure joy. The composition, hazy lighting, and fun, joyous smiles make this everything to me.

I really love how this photo is like a fairytale. It really gives me Pride & Prejudice vibes (my favorite movie) – I really love any time I can pull a movie moment out of my work and reflect that within the art and composition of itself. Making my clients into their own movie stars of their gallery is what makes me heart soar and creativity FLOW!

I love props. Utilizing props can create so much dimension and storytelling pieces that can make a gallery round out. I love utilizing other cameras as well! This photo is a fav because I love the imperfect lighting. The subject is backlit and dark, yet you see the beautiful sunset reflecting off the beach in the background. SO cinematic.

Let’s hear it for the girls! We were walking back to her bridal suite to be tucked away before she walked down the aisle. When in St Augustine, there is a good chance you will cross paths with a trolley, and that’s what was happening here! Smile and wave girls, smile and wave.

Family is everything to me. I love any excuse to head home to Ohio and soak up time with them.
I find joy in a little magic and adventure, which is why I’m always at Disney or Universal with my boyfriend.
I love reading, creating art, and having lazy nights in with a good show.
Weekend getaways, road trips, and last-minute adventures are my favorite kind of plans.
